yes, you are right. it feels to me that the songs from c.o.t.f. were recorded somehow spontaneous and with not a big idea where they could go, and maybe they have been partly improvisations. so the drumsound on that album is a bit spontaneous too and not that constructed. i can see that. i am really looking forward heavy metal fruit, and how the drums will be there. if they catch the live feel well it will be great!!! and yes, keith moon is on a very very special level!!!
no worries from my side about geb and kenneth. they are both great in a very different way. i do not see what mp lost with kenneth. he adds a very far aout improvisational aspect to the music. and he has very deep sense of understandig mp’s music and how to play it fresh and somehow new. i love his way of drumming (just remember his kind of solo on the floor toms in hamburg, that was much more than just technically perfect, it was very very intense).

@TraktorBass: yes I know. but to me it is simply funny to use that strange beard and hair as something in space with that stars around… not bad, simply funny to me. and makes them very likeable to me.

the info that the album has 3 playable sides makes me hope for some nice scratching on the 4th.

so much music to discover. at the moment i am listening a lot to the new flaming lips “embryonic” (quite brilliant, sthg. like a “space opera” too), and old zz top like “tejas” and “tres hombres”. yeah.
we will be surpried another time i guess. i like the way the infos arrive. no half year promotion with short clips via youtube and so on… very very nice and relaxed way of acting. cool. only 2 month. unfortunately i am out of europe for 2 months from 4.1. onwards, so i will have to be patient i guess…
hmm, hard to say. but definately not all clubs in germany are like that. now way. in berlin i felt a bit like you, facing the fact that it was sold out and so nearly impossible to move to the bar or more in the center to have a better sound. but hamburg was great. very nice club there, good sound and nice steps towards the bar. loved it. it was less crouded, but still a big audience.
starclub (beatpol) in dresden is a great club too. missed them last year there, but saw a lot of great shows in this club.
btw. the only thing i have to mention is that in northern germany (and holland) one can only buy small beer bottles. everywhere!!! it sucks, here in south eastern germany it would never happen in a live music club. but that is my proble, i know…
