“a special commisioned work from Motorpsycho and StÃ¥le Storløkken (Supersilent, Humcrush, Elephant9) including Trondheim Jazz Orkester and Trondheimsolistene”

Sounds very promising! Does anybody have more info on this?

    Greetings,

    Thomas

edit: found the other thread, I’ll post there. Duuuhhh…

Me contributing to a thread about soccer, my Dad will be so proud of me…

Just wanted to say to all the Germans present: congratulations with your masterful game against the English. You created your chances and counters instead of waiting for the ball to fall in the right place at the right time. As half a Brit, it hurt a bit of course. I won’t play the “what if” game and will only say that it was a shame the second British goal wasn’t counted. But that still would have made it 4-2 in the end, I think.

Here’s hoping for a good game this afternoon between the Dutch and the Slovaks! The Dutch half of me still rejoices, just as long they keep focused on every game individually. So often the Dutch have gotten overconfident after winning a couple of games in a tournament, which resulted in them underestimating their next opponents, not playing their best players and ultimately their defeat. Just keep playing like you have been, hahaha!

Orange amplifiers! Old phase shifters! Gebhardt’ signature drumsticks! Dillinger Ecsape Plan’s “Option Paralysis” blasting out of the speakers! Wish I could be a fly in the vault and witness the compilation of Tim’s Monster Deluxe! Aahh, I feel much better now…

@ Neil Tesor: Thanks, I remember now!

@ Rune: Can’t see your pic, but I’m at work, so that might explain it. Will check out later if I know or not, or could you post a link to the pic? Thx.

@ Neil Tesor: The left-handed white Strat is a Jimi Hendrix signature model, so it’s supposed to be upside down (the right-handed model is a flipped-over lefty). For the rest he uses Hagstroms (indeed, the (Super) Swedes, but as of late modified with Gibson, made-to-fit-humbucker-cavity P-90’s), Guilds, the odd Gibson, and Stavems. Never seen the Jazzmaster you talked about, but maybe I just didn’t see him play it, like I haven’t seen him play that red ES335 model (Gibson? Guild copy? Can’t remember – edit: Guild Starfire).

*waits for Jan Tore to come set him straight…

Thanks for making it even more difficult & for reminding me of those wonderful Crimson improvs! Now I will have to dig out my “Great Deceiver” box set & play all the ‘blows’ (as Fripp calls the jams) just for the hell of it. What an ordeal!

    Greetings,

So I was talking out of my neck again, as the Dutch expression goes. Thanks for clearing this up, guys.

Thanks supernaut. I always mix up the song title “Starless” with their record title “Starless and Bible Black”. Also, the line “starless and bible black” is included in the song “Starless”.

    Greets,

    Thomas

Yes, Starless (and bible black) by King Crimson. They played it live during that period. Hope it was recorded!

This is indeed very good news. I just hope they do not decide to do it so thoroughly that it will be postponed as long as the DVD.

Nah, scrap that. The DVD was well worth the wait and we wouldn’t want anything slapdash now would we?

    Greetings,

    Thomas

Sounds like great news to me! Indeed, are we finally going to see well-done, actually-adding-something “archive editions” of Motorpsycho? Maybe even an official, 4-cd retrospective, best-of box set?

@NowItsTimeToSkate: Hang in there during these hard times & commiserations with your loss.

Holy crap, look at that setlist: The Other Other Fool – Vanishing Point / Greener / Mad Sun – Mountain – Hogwash (feat. Halleluwah) – The Golden Core. Now I remember why I’m not reading the setlists anymore now: too frustrated I wasn’t there!

Enjoy all of you lucky b*stards!

This was the reaction of one of Fillmore/Alexs friends on Facebook. I asked his permission to replicate it here.

    Rob Zim:

“what happened last night? well, going without any experience made before or any listen to a band, which is one, you should see, people told me. allright. and there i am now…not able to tell in every detail what happened…just unspeakable…three kings melting all musical styles in one epic incredible psychedelic jam…loosing the sense of tyme and space…flying above blue deserts through red skies…space jam riffs carried me to the uttermost stars and the borders of universe…being pulled back to the ground by hard riffs…and afterwards again flying listening to voices of angels and daemons. what was it? was that manlike? it was MOTORPSYCHO. i’m more than convinced!”

@ Mark: My secret is putting every songtitle in a text in my phone the moment they start playing a new song. Memory doesn’t enter into it, in my case! :MPD:
