so that new song is a long one with all these changes in it?
Synchronicity. Weird but fun when it happens. For example I felt like watching The Prestige movie recently where Bowie has a small role. Doing so I realized I was wearing a Bowie shirt underneath, then went onto my balcony for a smoke and saw the Twin star constellation right in front of me in the sky and "twins" (supposedly, I have another theory there, just saying) are one of the main plot angles in said movie.

very nice video!
speaking of TDDU, the long instrumental 7/4beats middle section of Through The Veil is also my contender. Just the groove by itself, ignoring the whole whoopla solos flying above it, gets me through some whole days.
Ah got it! Played it way too slowly…
Elvin! It drives me nuts, what's that riff? Picked up my bass, played it but didn't get it.
In Our Tree spins a lot in my head.
"Exposing fake and falsehood!"
The mighty Taurus! I've never been aware of its existence until hearing it live in 1997. I've seen the boys before but maybe due to those early clubs the Taurus didn't have quite the impact… But that 97 show was full on Moog assault. So I went hunting and got me the MkI a couple of years later. Playing live while the Taurus' first big show moment is getting closer and closer and then you step on the low C (hopefully), that's just sheer joy.
Motorpsycho and…. Satan!
sorry had to post this for a laugh, was browsing for a MP pic for an article to write.
Innersfree bell at around 1:25 reminds me of the opening bells of Cygnus X-1.
God Of Thunder laughing, spreads his wings!
Quote:And the albums up to Alive II are gooderm yes… very much so. Still listening today as a 50yrs old on my couch devoid of any swampy things. Strange Ways! Parasite! Watchin You! She!
If we look past the sillyness (but why would we?), we find they are great songwriters, if not quite the greatest lyricists. And they took chances and were much more versatile than people give them credit for: The bloated, failed but still somewhat admirable The Elder album, the early 80s poppy Unmasked album come to mind. And they put up the hugest craziest shows no one could compete with at the time, from their very beginnings. So 15min of fame overstretched? I strongly beg to differ.
Though it's not Kiss without Ace.
same night same stage?
My fave band & fave movie! Thanks johnny!
And it just fits. Watching that scene and listening to that song have always put me into the same place. Not surprisingly, obviously, but still…
Can't add anything here due to my lack of knowledge about Hawkwind, but the first time I've seen MP was on a festival where Monster Magnet played, too. Bizarre '95.
And out.
