ok NOT an anthology at all, just 3 compilations I just did to spread the virus among friends. I wanted to make one CD which again was of course impossible. then i thought i make a studio and a live album, but the studio one ended up as two, one with short and one with long songs. On the short studio album I picked songs that represented certain styles. So no Slow Phaseout or Nerve Tattoo when there's Starmelt. It jumps wildly in moods and atmosphere on purpose but it totally works in this running order imo:

LLM with its long songs is to me one of their best albums they've ever done but I really miss the songs. They are masters at songwriting. Or have been once. I absolutely love BH/BC. Kill Devil Hills, Triggerman, Hyena, Sail On, You Lose, The Ace… geez how can one not like this collection of fine rockers?

I just hope this new album isn't only impressive and overwhelming at first listen as a lot of "big" art is… sorry for being the sceptical guy. My wish for future shows: 90mins of stretched out impros but also a solid hour of songs songs songs! Sun Sound Pleasure must rule the world again.

while searching for some Primus material (haven't listened to them for 10 years maybe), I found "Les Claypool's Frog Brigade" doing Pink Floyd's Animal album!?! Now that's brilliant. Always respect broad minded musicians. There's obviously more to Les than crazy-a-slappin-a-about.
