Great work, BronYAur. Interesting stats
Are there other avenues that could be explored before autotune? Someone mentioned the difficulty of hitting the right notes when it's so loud you can hardly hear yourself. What about vocal and breath coaching? Surely there's no harm in turning the sound down a bit and getting a bit of help, even this far into a career. Many musicians learn new techniques throughout their careers so why not? Of course the bottom line is this is us just trying to pretend like we have any influence on what they could do, but I do agree that it's somewhat of an issue for some (maybe many) people.
@naur Oh yeah. The very best way.
@naur Heavy heavy vibration where I stood too. 😀
Another great Motorpsycho evening in Köln. Very different to the other shows I've seen. A lot more motor and less psycho-delic. First time seeing Jig, Jane, Bro and Evil. Jane was especially exhilarating for me. Although I'm not a fan of August the song, the follow-on jam was, as we say in England, the bees knees, the cat's whiskers, the dog's bollocks. Believe it or not these expressions all mean it was very special. I still find The Crucible a bit cumbersome but the middle noise section really took off for me this time. I can't say any one song stood out as a major highlight, it was instead a concert of highlight moments and waves and several happy surprises.
Thank you, as always, to my generous hosts – especially Thomas, also Alli, Ingo and of course the miaowman Tomcat. Great also to meet Tania again. See you all next year.
@Johnny H – I looked around the crowd a little but didn't spot you. If you were there I hope you enjoyed the show.
And Hey Jane after No Evil.
A UK date would be nice but I don't think 7 or 8 October would be a good idea, at least not in London, as Extinction Rebellion have their next major action starting the 7th. They'll be occupying major streets and intersections in London and bringing parts of London to a halt. The previous actions were pretty effective in snarling things up for some days, and I expect this is going to be even more serious as the group has grown rapidly. I may be overestimating the effect it could have on a Motorpsycho gig, but it could seriously affect (a) logistics around the venue and (b) the number of people who are willing to come into the centre of London when there's so much disruption.
@JERO Only Köln this time for me.
@suntripper – where is the interview?
That's good news
@s_edelman – I loved reading that book.
@suntripper – Thanks.

Thanks ThorEgil
Thanks for updating Tomcat. Yes, that would be the most likely place for UK dates. I see there's also room for more gigs either side of Athens.
