Not to mention there's also a full set BEFORE the encores that a lot of people would like, haters notwithstanding.
Does the "?" mean that they didn't go into Halleluhwah, like they usually do these days?
Close Your Eyes! I loved the epic versions from the last tour, hoping to hear a recording of this song with Ståle on board.
Yeah Stereosofa, the backdrop's definitely new. On the Norway leg there was no backdrop per se, only "sails" hanging down from the ceiling, onto which Pekka's stuff was projected.
The backdrop is a addition for this leg, I should think. Since there are no projections I'd guess Pekka didn't tag along, but it could also be they just decided to scale down the lighting when moving to a smaller stage.
Also, is it just me or does that backdrop image look strangely familiar? Could be just that it's in Thore Hansen's typical style, but I just have a feeling I've seen it somewhere else.
EDIT: Gah, posted in the wrong thread.
It's superb! Amazing! Instant classic!
…says the taper. A second opinion will probably be necessary.
Great jam during "Sculls in Limbo"!
Nice article, confirming that the "2 albums worth" of material Bent's mentioned earlier would indeed be one album of Orgelfest music and one album with new songs.
Mountain! It's been screaming for a proper organ player for years.
Bah, the site I used for the upload resized it due to size constraints. I've changed the image URL now… better?
The Unicorn is definitely performed in it's entirety, and obviously with a couple of changes. Most importantly, all the string interludes are now played on the organ. As far as I can tell there's no significant bit from the album version that has been omitted. Mutiny has undergone a small transformation though, as it seems to have been transposed from the key of A Minor down to G Minor, and there's something funny about the chorus as well. It seems rather difficult to sing, as Bent's voice is all over the place in the live version.
Thanks all! Feels good to be able to deliver something back, having enjoyed so many recordings made by others over the years.
And Mr. Hands: Those are most probably from Sentrum Scene. Snah's mistakes (@0:59 on the opening video, and a small one on Gullible's @1:00) can't be ones that he repeats every night.
The t-shirt I bought:
Features the tattoo logo in the neck.
EDIT: And here's the tour program, for those who haven't grabbed the Dime torrent:
As for Mutiny; I'd have a hard time singing it too, seeing as they've transposed it down AND switched around the chorus. Being used to the album version I can't really get to grips with the live version. :S
