Thanks for the write-up, Bartok. Much appreciated!
Interesting to read that they’ll be playing at Johan Harstad’s art exhibition in Oslo. Sounds like something I should try to attend
Also I’m wondering what will be the next part in the “emulating Fleetwood Mac’s Albatross” collection of songs. We’ve had Cormorant, Snahlbatros and now Condor. I’m guessing Falcon, Seagull, Pigeon and Owlaf are next?
I think my favorite track so far is Revenants. Bent acoustic strummer combined with a sinister synth bass in the background = winner!
@hogw: As much as I love Snah, there’s not a chance in hell he hits those high notes live. A tad studio augmentation there, I reckon.
On the 3rd listen now, and it’s honestly starting to grow.
But the album does feel all over the place, with a bunch of semi-finished/un-produced ideas thrown together haphazardly. But maybe that’s the charm of it.My first impression was that they made the right decisions leaving these songs off the other albums. Because this REALLY sounded like a bunch of outtakes/rejected songs (well they are, but you know…)
And don’t get me started on Snah’s vocals on This Is Your Captain. Biggest WTF moment of the record
Of course there will be repeated listens, and some songs do sound like growers. But first impression was a bit underwhelming even knowing the nature of these lo/no-fi tracks.
It was interesting to hear Bent describe the album. He said a few songs were short, straightforward thingys. While a couple of the songs “could only be played on the night broadcast”, whatever that means.
Also mentioned full promo. So I’m guessing extensive touring in 2025

The rest is Beard One and Beard TwoAccording to Bandcamp, release date has been pushed

Interviews with Snah and Ingvald + snippets of the new music.
1 Psycholab 5:40
2 Return to Sanity 4:02
3 This Is Your Captain 7:04
4 All My Life (I Love You) 3:21
5 Edgar’s Bathtub 0:56
6 Elysium, Soon 8:08
7 Revenants 3:45
8 Crownee Says 3:56
9 Condor 4:08Excited for the longer songs. The descriptions of those were pretty interesting. The rest is probably a mixed bag. I love Psycholab, but don’t care much for the Skip Spence cover.
A bit of a stretch, I think.
Sure it’s the same time signature, and maybe the synth bass riff has the same feel as Bent’s bass riff on Kebabels Tårn.
But it’s played in a different key, and not at all the same notes. And honestly Bent & Snah doesn’t strike me as hardcore gamers who would be overtly familiar with semi-obscure video game music (I could be hilariously wrong though )This isn’t nearly the same as that Dimmu Borgir instrumental that was blatantly ripped off an old Amiga game.
Yeah, I remembered it now.
Btw, setlist was:
Psychonaut
Quick Fix
Hey Jane
Rock Bottom
Mountain
X-3
Hyena
Into the Sun@CaptainAubrey: Last show with Järmyr was this one:

It was an outtake from Maiden Voyage which got released on a compilation called Knall The Album Vol. 3.
And judging by the image on Bandcamp it looks like it’s going to get a 7″ NFGS release

Thanks for the setlist, Francesco.
The most natural question to ask is:
Ingvald or Olaf on drums?Other than that, zero extended jams.
EDIT:
