GBD: Yeah I know that line could be interpreted that way as well. But until we get further proof, I’m hoping it’s a Bent livingroom recording
I’ll be seeing them at Øyafestivalen mid-August. Never seen em live before, with the exception of the guest appearances with MP.
marc: It said so on the rune grammofon website. But it could mean that it just contains more acoustic work while not being entirely acoustic…
“The slightly Zeppelin-esque â€ÂThe Waiting Game†is more acoustic and recorded at home.”
The song(s?) from the video sounded really promising, yes. But the vocals… 8O
Man oh man, were they out of tune, or what?
Double post. But the COTF material sounds really promising with this vid and that
Youtube vid.
A nice picture from the gig:
(Sorry for the insanely long link
)
Nice info. I’m really excited about the track The Waiting Game which is more acoustic and recorded at home. If by that, they mean recorded in Bent’s livingroom, I’m more than happy (I’m a sucker for those acoustic Bent home demos ala 7th Dream, Wishing Well etc.)
Anyway, lotsa Sabbath references in the titles (Ozzylot and Cornucopia which is a song from the Vol.4 album). And isn’t Whole Lotta Diana both a Zeppelin and an AC/DC reference?
Tracklist slightly changed now:
01The Ozzylot (Hidden In A Girl)
02Riding The Tiger
03Whole Lotta Diana
04Cornucopia (…Or Satan, Uh… Something)
05Mr. Victim
06The Waiting Game
07Child Of The Future

I saw Dungen live at Rockefeller earlier this year when they warmed up for Soundtrack Of Our Lives.
They bored me so fucking much! I have heard a couple of their records, and they were far better on record. Live they were not good at all.
Drammen yesterday? That was last month

The next concert is in Tønsberg July 16th.
Two reviews from groove.no and Nordlys. Turns out that Kenneth Kapstad played while being food-poisoned (!). He was later admitted to a hospital (making his side-project Monolithic cancel their Oslo Live performance Friday July 3rd, which I wanted to see)

Hard question. The Golden Core really is the one. But it could easily be
Taifun or Giftland as well (personal favs)
I have to agree with the thoughts on BH/BC: I think disc 1 is far better than disc 2.
On my 1 disc edition on page 1 of this thread, I only included 3 songs from disc 2. And 6 from disc 1 + Bonny Lee
That says a lot really.
Actually all of the Serpentine B-sides could’ve been on IALC (and raised the quality of it significantly)
Throw out Neverland, What If… and Composhite Head, and throw in Little Ricky Massenburg, SNAFU and Fade To Gray. And already you have a far better album
The best song he ever wrote for MP was the Serpentine single B-side, Little Ricky Massenburg. I also like KR3 and When You’re Dead.
