Anyone know if there will be day tickets for Zappanale? The website only offers festival tickets for 160€ so far. That is too expensive. If they offered day passes I would indeed consider catching the "Unicorn" another time
I edited the post from a proper computer with a proper keyboad
Thanks Be for the first really heartfelt laugh of the day! Your comments were priceless. Your are right, "Hogwash" featured a deconstructed version "Halleluwah" and it was great. The "Unicorn" totally floored me. What a show! Hard to believe it can get better than that. See you in Leipzig tonight!
The tour continues tonight with the first concert of the German leg: Köln @ Stollwerk. A new venue for the band. During the last two shows we saw two tour debuts in the encores! Will we get another debut tonight or another great version of "Hogwash" because it worked so well the other night…? See you tomorrow in Bremen!
Short excerpt of "Gullible" but the sound is so terrible it is unbearable (why do people upload crappy clips like this in the first place)?
And another clip with better sound but shot from way in the back:
Sunday's shows are always the best Spaced out "Hogwash" sounds great!
That clip is AMAZING! The setlist is the same as the previous show in Bergen 24.03. — a Motorpsycho premiere?
Edit: Kongsberg 17.03. and Haugesund 23.03. also featured the same setlist.
No wonder, it wasn't even sold out the last time (15.10.2011), not even with the added bonus of "SOS"-LP and it being an excklusive Dutch show…
The tour continues today in Eindhoven!!! Let's see what the "Unicorn" sounds like and what the encores will bring, now that the boys had some time to digest the first live experiences of "TDDU" and let it incubate for a bit
10.04.2012:
10 years ago on this day in 2002 Motorpsycho played the second show of the year — the band's third-busiest concert year to date spawning 64 shows in total — at Docks in Hamburg (GER). At this show the band debuted "Serpentine", "One More Daemon" and "Circles". They also played "Ãœberwagner" which was premiered at the tour opening concert in Copenhagen the night before (09.04.2002). All these songs would appear on "It's A Love Cult" later in the year. This short spring tour comprised 13 concerts in DK, GER, NL, BE, LUX, FR, ESP and CH but Hamburg was the only concert of the tour that featured all four new songs! The Hamburg show was also remarkable for following story: The intro loop of "Giftland" sampled from "Timothy's monster" was playing over the house-PA while the doors opened and the crowd entered the venue. The loop would keep playing for well over an hour all the way to the beginning of the show. When the band entered the stage they seamlessly tore into "Giftland" (a huge setlist surprise at that time!) which made for a great moment of tension-release. This particular version of "Giftland" proved to be the tour's best featuring the great intro and majestic jams.
