Yep, that’s behaving like a kid but that’s what most musicians are, just kids.
I don’t want to speak to all of them but the most that I got to know never really had an everyday job where you have to go EVERYDAY and pay attention to some rules or otherwise you are fired. They act like kids not being able to handle their emotions in critical situations because they never had to. Spitting on someone is ugly and stupid and shouldn’t be done.

I didn’t have my camera when they played but there were alot of people taking pictures so I guess they’ll be online as soon as the festival is over.
Yes, their guitar tech (don’t remember his name) tried to join for an encore (it was a cover but i can’t tell which song, sorry) but his guitar was constantly feedbacking so he put it away half of the song and the three of them played it to the end.
Into The Sun was played somewhere in the middle of the main set.
I just got back from the Duna Jam!
I have to say that this was one of the best Motorpsycho concerts I’ve ever seen. It was really a perfect setting with the sea in the background, the sunset later and then the band shining with just a few lights put on them in the dark.
I was there with the Colour Haze crew, we set up all the equipment and PA. We came around 5pm and MP was already there. A funny story, Snah really made a lazy day, just lurking around between the rocks while everyone else made an effort to get all the amps to the “venue” (couldn’t drive there directly with the car, that was hard work!
). He was hanging there just before they started playing! During the first song, Cornucopia, an amp broke and Snah’s guitar was out of tune, he gave it to his tech and just stood there waiting till everything was fixed. Lol!So the first two songs were a bit complicated soundwise and again the singing was out of tune but after that it was total magic!! More and more people were dancing and the sound got better and better. I don’t really remember the songs they played, it was pretty jammed out, highlights were Into The Sun and Hogwash. The Diana jam was perfect too! Giftland was also played and Starhammer.
A friend of mine who does sound engineering on most of the Duna Jam bands also records everything so there is a 24-track recording of this! He usually gives it to the bands if they want. I don’t know if it’s good to mix this without asking the band, but it’s good to know that it exists!
So yes, that was a phenomenal experience!
This was a great show, the Rainbow cover was really heavy and fast! Starhammer was huge and Snah did a great job during the Diana jam, he almost killed his right arm doing freaky rhythmic patterns but 100% precise! Gullible was very nice, the quiet middle part was done with only guitar and bass but sounded beautiful.
There’s one complaint, the singing was pretty much out of tune and not energetic until Diana. Don’t know but then from this point on it was really good. They should’ve nailed it from the beginning! The sound was clear, a little too less bass from where I stood. And Kenneths new drums look really psycho!

Don’t know if I’ll make it to Duna Jam either. Will be in Heidelberg for sure. Maybe if there’s a possibility to go only for two or three days.
Oh yeah, and while checking on Elektrohasch, be sure to check back some time in the future, hope to release an album there with my new project. We’re called The Dawn Band. Ok, enough promo, keep my mouth shut now until the album is ready! Sorry!
Now it’s official! Yes, that’s on a beach in sardinia. tickets are limited (150-200 last year). I haven’t been there yet but have a couple of friends who attended the 2009 duna jam. They say it’s really really chilled and cool. They don’t have a fixed schedule and bands play on different locations around that valley. Actually my friends force me to go this year and now have a fine argument….

Have had that musician come and go problems too. Our guitarist left the band a year ago and then we decided to do the damn album just the two of us!
So we’re both no real guitarists but we make the best out of it.Some of the equipment is our own, some was borrowed from friends. We didn’t switch amps during takes, we just took the one that suited best for the song. Most clean stuff was done with the Fender, the Musicman and Orange give a cool duo when doubling guitar.
I played drums in the band Hainloose before ( http://www.myspace.com/hainloose ). We had two albums on Elektrohasch, the label of the guitarist from Colour Haze ( http://www.myspace.com/colourhaze ). Got into the scene through him more or less, I had guitar lessons for one year from him which is a while ago…
So yes, will tell you when the album is ready!
And yeah, you should get into some band again! Where are you from actually?

For guitars we used Gibson Les Paul, Fender Toronado (modificated), a Taylor electric guitar, Fender Strat, a Martin and a Fender acoustic guitar.
Amps were Orange AD30 head, Music Man 70W head and a Fender Hot Rod combo, Marshall 1960A and 1960BX cabinets.
FX pedals were EH Big Muff, Ibanez Tube Sceamer, Cry Baby Wah, Boss DD-7 Delay and a Danelectro Fab Tone Distortion for some evil sounds.
I will let you know when we’re done!
So I got HMF now spinning for a week now…. What I have to say, it’s really great!
In it’s entirety the best since Phanerothyme/LTEC for me.
Starhammer just got me blown away from the first listen, X-3 grows more and more, Bomb-Proof is just a nice, MP-harmonized swinging song with the cool idea of two different vocal lines. I’m looking forward to that live!
Close Your Eyes works very good with piano and how they arranged it and is the breather between all the “epicness” as mentioned before.
WBAT starts out jazzy and turns into that very cool laid back riff with almost a little stoner-touch. Bents vocals do not 100% convince me on that one, it’s a little bit too much for him (just like on Whole Lotta Diana), no matter if it’s hamonized with 3 or 4 more layers.
And Gullible’s Travails… When Kenneth comes in with the drums in the beginning it’s just huge! Snah’s vocals fit perfectly, the Elementhaler is the most beautiful thing I’ve heard in a long time, Circle is the best recorded build-up (only Alchemyst, Taifun or Golden Core may be better) and Phoot’s Flower comes in with a “Heal The World” refrain
and stretches it out till maximum which is cool!Production is very nice, the guitars sound just evil on that heavy riffs.
And the cover is as spaced-out as the album so that’s very cool!
