The first few times i listened i was quite unimpressed. To my surprise as i usually don't have that with Motorpsycho records. With the Tower the click was there immediately. What an amazing album. I still love it as much as i did when i first played it, or perhaps more after seeing some of the songs played live a few times.
But then, the Crucible. I went on holiday at the Belgian Ardennes for a week on release day so to my regret i didn't have the lp before that. My pre-order was later than i hoped. The first time i played the record was with my daughters headphones since i forgot to bring mine to Belgium. Ands it sounded bad. Terrible cheap headphones, awful sound. I was not impressed. But then, whith good headphones, walking through the beautiful forrest whith no one in sight but my dog. I think it was with the third or fourth time listening this way when it suddenly hit me: this is once again an amazing record. There is a lot happening, a lot to digest but how rewarding it eventually is!
I don't know that my favorite song it. I think the title song. Briliant. I did not expect an album as good as The Tower but it is, perhaps even better.
Someone said that this could be the MP album with the best drumming and i agree. Wow.
(BTW i can recommend listening to the song the Crubible in a beautiful yet somewhat eerie forrest. Very special listening experience)

Yeah i really like it. Thanks again Mefisto! Very big box! I paid a little over 20 euros for postage to the Netherlands which isn't too bad for a heavy box like this. Very pretty looking box it is.
I watched most of the blu ray. I love it. Excellent played , good and heavy sound. I like seeing Helge Sten in action and the twin drummming on a lot of songs like Gutwrench. Lovely litte docu too.

@ThorEgil, do you know if it is possible to order from outside of Norway from Platekompaniet?
I am not that confident about more Dutch gigs since they played 8 gigs in the Netherlands in the last 14 months which is quite a lot. But, we'll see.

Hogwash included Eagle's Son (Pretty Things cover) Amazing show.
They played Hell pt 7 after Hogwash. Incredible.
Really disapointed about the cancellation of Ryan Potter. The poor man is in the hospital. Hope he gets well soon.
But yes it's gonna be great! Can't wait to see Motorpsycho again. I hope they bring Lars. And play some new songs.
@Crosskip is right unfortunately. The first time i saw MP in Paradiso the place was packed, twice in a year. The last time in 2008 it was not that crowded. Paradiso is an amazing place so it's a pitty that hey don't seem to play there anymore, but understandable. Cool thing is that they did play Vera again in 2010, 2012, 2013 & 2016. Last time before 2010 was 2000 so it's great that they returned to Vera. Paradiso & Vera are my favorite places to see bands so i hop they will play Vera in 2019 again.
The timetable for Doornroosje is online. 21:00 – 23:15. Strange that that is different from what the mail said but ok.
Quite special indeed! Good point about the lounge. Seems like the only way to let 12 bands play. Unless the festival goes on until 4 o clock.
The mail also confirmed that the festival starts at 20:00. Ryan Porter plays from 20:00 – 21:00 which is a bummer since i really wanted to see Ryan Porter and MP. What to do? Probably see the whole MP show :MPD:
