So i finally got a chance to buy the box. And what a package it is! First of all: it looks beautiful. Second, lots and lots of interesting stuff. Especially disc 2 is amazing and a must-have.
I haven't listened to the Pidah mixes enough to really point out what i think of that one. Off course i like it, since i love Blissard.
I am quite surprised with what you write there Moonchild.
First of all, i think this cd box contains a lot of unreleased nuggets. Also, i am looking forward to the Pidah disc. Interesting to listen to the first version of the album.
Second, don't forget how cheap this box is. Pre-order for 25 euros! That is an amazing price for a box like this. Compare it to this Velvet Underground box and see that the MP box is a way better deal.
Thanks Rolf, that makes the choice a lot easier, so let's pre-order the cd box then.
The tracklist makes me really excited! I listened to my Blissard vinyl last night and what a fantastic record it is.
I haven't pre-ordered yet since i am waiting for news about the vinyl release. Are we sure the are going to release this 4cd box on vinyl? It could be that they re-release the regular vinyl edition since it's sold out at Stickman. I am afraid that if they relase the box on vinyl it will be a really expensive box. Any thoughts on this?
One more thing: damn the cd box is cheap! In comparisson, the Velvet Underground & Nico 6cd box that is released this week i believe costs 80 euros or more.
Man that sounds great! Now wait for news about the vinyl.
So, any thougts on what will be on the four cds? There should be a whole lot of unreleased material on this to fill the cds, considering Blissard is 53 minutes long (62 including the hidden track). So, 60 minutes Blissard en 9 Blissard era b-sides. What else? Perhaps more live recordings?
And how much lps will the vinyl edition be? Will the content be the same as the cd edition?
Questions, questions…. o i am so looking forward to this!
Blissard vinyl box with a book, i'm in! I'm sure there are a whole lot of psychonauts who would very much want an Englisch translation of the book. So please…….
Monomyth, great! Jullie moeten snel in Leeuwarden komen spelen
My band Echoland just released it's first single Starve. I am quite proud of it so would be happy if you check it out.
Btw, gli Anni Luce really is something else! I like it.
Let's hope so! I wonder how much lp's it will be. 6? That would be a massive boxset!
Fantastic encore! Any idea how long Hogwash was?
So, Vera tonight! I always love seeing them there. Quite Some people i know are going, exciting! What's strange though is i don't have the usual setlist curiosity, since the songs they are going to play are mostly set. Anyway, looking forward to it!
Totally forgot about this topic. Our band released three ep's a few months ago. I am the most proud of the 'Of these terrifyings sounds' ep. This one includes the 12 min long Comatose Again. We are currently working on a video of a 16 min live version of Comatose Again.
Anyway, i am glad how that ep turned out. I would love to hear what you think about it. check it out here: http://roosterrampage.bandcamp.com/album/of-these-terrifying-sounds
Thanks!
PS @Drugthin: a 10" vinyl release, how great is that!
Dont't forget they probably won't play a lot of the songs anymore after this tour. Probably a lot of tour exclusives (like with the Love Cult Tour and wel, lots of others). Wether you like the Unicorn or not, this is a unique tour and for that alone a must see in my opinion. Besides that is really love The Dath Defying Unicorn and am happy that i am able to see them twice this tour.
(ok, that's basically what supernaut said)
