My band Echoland just released it's first single Starve. I am quite proud of it so would be happy if you check it out.
Btw, gli Anni Luce really is something else! I like it.
Let's hope so! I wonder how much lp's it will be. 6? That would be a massive boxset!
Fantastic encore! Any idea how long Hogwash was?
So, Vera tonight! I always love seeing them there. Quite Some people i know are going, exciting! What's strange though is i don't have the usual setlist curiosity, since the songs they are going to play are mostly set. Anyway, looking forward to it!
Totally forgot about this topic. Our band released three ep's a few months ago. I am the most proud of the 'Of these terrifyings sounds' ep. This one includes the 12 min long Comatose Again. We are currently working on a video of a 16 min live version of Comatose Again.
Anyway, i am glad how that ep turned out. I would love to hear what you think about it. check it out here: http://roosterrampage.bandcamp.com/album/of-these-terrifying-sounds
Thanks!
PS @Drugthin: a 10" vinyl release, how great is that!
Dont't forget they probably won't play a lot of the songs anymore after this tour. Probably a lot of tour exclusives (like with the Love Cult Tour and wel, lots of others). Wether you like the Unicorn or not, this is a unique tour and for that alone a must see in my opinion. Besides that is really love The Dath Defying Unicorn and am happy that i am able to see them twice this tour.
(ok, that's basically what supernaut said)
That would be really nice indeed. I don't think it will happen though.
I am really curious about these shows. What will the encores be like? How long? Encores as a three-piece? I guess we will find out tonight. Have fun!
@Elwin: I am sorry about that. The only frustrating thing to me about the Stroop lp that it appeared to be my chance to finally get the missing vinyl in my collection (Lobotimizer. If only i bought two Stoop lp's at the concert… I am lucky i didn't though. Principles i guess.
So there has been so much talk about this record, and then is has so little plays on Soundcloud? Weird. I listened to the vinyl again after listening to The Unicorn several times and still love this one very much, especially Whole Lotta Diana & California.
review nu.nl In Dutch and very positive. Nice one.
I've listened to the record quite some times now. I still think it ia fantastic. I tend to listen to it only in it's entirity. I tink in some time to me it will be a record like Mars Volta's Frances the Mute, or the Sunn O))) and Godspeed You Black Emperors lp's. Records i love very much and enjoy enormously when i listen to it. But, they are records who demand attention, and time. So it don't play them that much but enjoy every bit whén playing them.
In the case of The Unicorn that's a good, not a bad thing. Since i have almost everyting Motorpsycho made on vinyl, when i want to listen to shorter, more compact songs i will pull out f.i. Child Of The Future again. And i haven't yet discovered Strings entirely.
For now i can't get neough of The Unicorn. A wild, passionate rollercoster of a record. Very, very good. The sort of classical and jazzy stuff are a brilliant addition to the more classic psycho stuff on the record. I think it is good, like by others in this topic) to remember that this isn't really the HMF folluw up but a collaboration between the band and Storlokken. Like the In The Fishtank record isn't a classic Motorpsycho records. Let's see what's next! Can't wait for the shows.
Well, i can't find it anywhere on their site. That would be quick!
Mutiny is favorite song so far, definitively. That bass, love it.
I just picked up a copy of the vinyl at my favorite record store. The cover looks great. Listened to record one now so too early for a good overview. First thought: wow, prog! Very impressed so far.
Unfortunately no Dutch reviews so far.
Wow Paolize, cool that you found one. I won't look at the pictures though, to keep the surprise as big as possible. I should probably stop reading the forum too for now…

There are mountains of mailorder packages stacked everywhere and lots more to go still!
