Dank State?
That'll be the nascent, global, totalitarian state then. (Sorry – couldn't resist!)
Feel & Waiting for the One. Thanks to brindsem:
This seems to be the nearest we have to a Little Lucid Moments thread. It's a shame we don't have a dedicated thread for each album going right back. Anyway, if I were absolutely pushed to name the best Motorpsycho album, I would probably go for this one.
The reason for resurrecting this thread is simply to find somewhere to park this. Yes, it's another one of those first-time-listen reaction things just in case anyone's interested. If you can't recognise greatness listening to The Alchemyst you never will. Some favourable reactions in the video, although they really didn't get the end – one of the finest moments in ALL music – not merely in MP's oeuvre. The comments below from those new to MP are pretty positive. Welcome, guys!
@TraktorBass – Well that guy knows what he's doing!
I headed over to watch Band Geek's version of Starship Trooper. I must say, that is a very impressive stab ar it. I'm just wondering whether you know what kit the drummer is playing? I'm particularly interested to know what cymbals he's using in that setting (even if – as is to be expected – they don't sound that great).
Would love to make that sound! Oh, and he used brand new strings every time he played.
And the secret to Chris Squire's sound? A bit of thumb along with the plectrum.
Hope you all caught that splendid S.T.G. while it was still available. Unfortunately, it has now been made a private video. This is as good an opportunity as any to restate how very much I appreciate all those good Psychonauts who make their recordings freely available to all in the spirit of sharing and mutual cooperation. A heartfelt "Thank you"!
S.T.G. – sounding good!

Thanks to Sletterod (hope you're able to stand upright again soon).
@ punknotyet – Thanks. That piqued my interest. They have to be giving a nod to S.T.G. towards the end of this performance of Return to the Tundrasphere, don't they?
@Punj Lizard – Ha! I was just about to respond to you, saying that you could do a lot worse than those recommended by Hans J. Pande in the comments section and then I saw that you yourself had visited and gone to quite some trouble to fill people in. Bravo! I notice that you didn't recommend anything from this album. Much of it is really good as far as I'm concerned and (maybe I'm in the minority here) I really like the sound of it too. I do think people need to know, however, that this particular track is very, very ordinary by Motorpsycho standards.
Motorpsycho The Waning (Pt.1) – First Listen/Reaction:
I'm a big fan of this album, but not of this track – especially part 1. I wonder why the band seem to value it so highly, even making it like the shop window for the album? If this is all the Motorpsycho someone ever gets exposed to they'll have no hint of the treasures that lie beyond. Simone Giacomini and Hans J. Pande, if you happen to look in here, I totally endorse your comments.
Hey Bernie! Love the split screen!
Not quite Bernie, but a different angle on a bit of N.O.X., thanks to DenpaFuzz:
Thanks Pax Deinde:
