March 7, 2026 at 13:35 #45213Yeah nice setlist. Cook that they played so much songs from the new record.
March 7, 2026 at 19:22 #45214Yeah, cool setlist and perfectly fine with the focus on the recent releases, but they’re really stuck with the same set of classics lately. So many gems to choose fron, and it’s always “mountain” ;) (random pick of a great but imo overplayed tune)……Hope now that they are tour-ready, they dedicate some soundcheck time to shaking the dust off some forgotten masterpieces
March 9, 2026 at 23:07 #45228Not easy for fresh mp drummers to get into the vast pile of old songs, I miss Flick of the wrist, Year Zero, Vortex Surfer and lots of other stuff never played these days. Looking forward to the new material and hoping perfect sound
March 12, 2026 at 13:47 #45234They haven’t played The Golden Core since November 10, 2017, when I saw it there. It’s been nine years already!
March 12, 2026 at 14:04 #45235I find it somewhat absurd when Bent laments Tomas’ alledged unwillingness to identify with (and learn?) the whole MP back canon, but ends up with a freelance drummer (or two), who might naturally be even less inclined to do so. (Though Ingvald can play anything and Olaf has shown remarkable progress during last year’s tour & summer festivals).
I hope (and am sure) MP will soon get bored with repeating the same one or two classics and dig out some more. Though I wouln’t like to miss stuff like “Pacific Sonata”, “Lacuna Sunrise” or “Lady May” – they should keep those at any cost.

March 12, 2026 at 20:05 #45241Lot’s of newer tracks, and even if theyre not quite my cup of tea, they always deliver live, with jams and unexpected turns. Looking forward to the Oslo gig, and maybe even the one on saturday!
