Geb very likely to be on drums 8O he posted a picture of his full drumset saying he would be rehearsing some old tunes. Wow, lucky ticket holders! :MPD:
warum steht bei diesem ticket-link "motorpsycho (abschiedskonzert)"
wow, fans being pissed off at their favorite band for releasing a record. i would also like to own it or at least hear it…but c'mon!
anyone lucky enough to own a copy, please upload!
Snah was playing a Ibanez Tubescreamer on this tour, which is pretty much THE overdrive pedal. I play a EHX East River Drive, which is a good yet affordable alternative.
Too bad to read that the "official" recording didn't work. Maybe that evening was simply too magical to be captured.
w4t1 = waiting for the one
Your mind is fine!
Having seen several shows of this tour, i have to agree that Leipzig was definitely something else. They not only seemed to have a good time, they also completely lost themselves in the music. especially bent. Conne Island and MP is a perfect match. Very loud yet clear sounding PA, perfectly-sized venue and the temperatures yesterday probably added what was needed to go this far out! boy, was that great!
You're right, that's just your opinion
To me "on a plate" is a nice straight rocker in the barracuda tradition. Not overly complex, but that's not always necessary for a song to work
Ah ok. Also, the guitar strumming in Entropy at 4:55 reminds me a lot of the 29th bulletin (similar structure… Calm part before the outburst). But that's cool, it works.
said melody: I'd guess something off of Phanerothyme. Can't put my finger on it though
that was my worry as well starting a new forum probably would be doomed to fail
– good but not groundbreaking
– what I first noticed: in the bio section reine ist not listed as a permanent member
my 2 cents:
Great versatile record, which IMO could easily do without ghost and hell pt. 7. Ghost has the potential for a great song and you can almost hear the build-ups and intense harmonics – but unfortunately they simply don't happen. hell pt. 7 is not focused and there doesn't seem to be a proper idea behind the song. Especially with Kvaestor occupying the "noisy jamrocker"-slot in a superb way, it is quite a dissapointment.
The production is fantastic. Probably the best of the kenneth-releases. When "eggplant" started automatically on my laptop after BTS, it was apparent how lame it sounds in comparison .
As already mentioned by some of you, I also like that they rediscovered "emotional" (there, i said it) songwriting, e.g. hell4-6 and entropy. I welcome that they apparently jumped off the bluestrain to some extent.
Finally, I second that The Promise has some of Bent's best singing in qite a while.
if it doesn't work to make The Promise play, there is another approach:
