the recording is incredible. really captures the feeling of the show. yes, bomp proof was so great. i couldn’t believe what i heared. thanks for sharing this!!!
Here is the proof that we have all been waiting for, or in denial about! ?????
come on. you are taking it on a far too complex level. i have no way the intention to speak evil about bent. why should i not write about that? isn’t everything emotional about motorpsycho? but yes, let us quit that.
Sorry little lucid me, I did not get the point in your last post, and now the same. It has nothing to do with my friendship, it is not about being a true follower or not, it all is simply about a bad fact which needed to be discussed if we honestly talk about our favourite band.
hey folks,
i started to write about that and see now that there are many different opinions. some people have been there, some not. first of all, i didn’t want to speak evil. but it was important for me to discuss that.
i was thinking a lot about it, and talked to my other friends that have been there with us at the show. finally i must say, that even the acting of bent was really bad, it was the only thing he could do, because it was not possible to handle the situation in another way. so somehow it was even consequent and human of course. the show was so brilliant and they came out of a long and freaked-out jam and wanted to play goldencore, which needs attention by the audience and especially from the band. it was really stupid and unfair to sing along that song that bad, when it is really important for everybody to get into the special emotional athmosphere. so bent if you read this, it was really bad acting, but you had no other choice, and more words are not needed to be said. i think everybody who attended the show, will feel that way.
btw. there were aggressive dancers too (especially in the encore part) and that annoyed everybody as well, but in the end it is a rock concert and people freak out (if they are drugged or not), that is normal.
shibisa shirazu orchestra is just awesome. saw them some years ago on a festival, and it completely blew me away. they even had a dragon fly above the audience heads. very strange…
and now at the same festival with motorpsycho. wow, you norwegians are lucky.
of course. but he doesn’t complain. just me, his friend and mp lover since ages. thats all.
thinking about it twice it was the heat of the moment i would say, but disappointing a bit. but all is emotional about this band. i heared other reactions like: he’s done that right, he should have left the stage and beat this motherf**er too. you are right supernaut, don’t think too much about it. i still love the band and always will.
i was not sure if i write about it or not, but i decided to do so. there was a very bad situation during golden core. a friend of mine did something very stupid, he started singing at the buildup part very wrong and enthusiastic. he was drunk like hell and happy. we forced him to quit, because it was annoying for everybody and he did after a while.
what was shocking was bents reaction. first kenneth showed the middle finger, which is quiet ok for such stupid acting, but bent spit a large load right on his head, into the audience. and that was so shocking, because it is the worst i could imagine, to spit on someone. so, of course bent was pissed, me too, and i guess it was more or less a panic reaction because he had to play and sing and to be in the mood to lift that song from very deep down to the high level. but somehow i can not come over to think that he missed a little humour or coolness to overcome the situation. there are so many ways of acting, even calling him an asshole or something would be ok. (edited due to personal request) no idea what to think.
the show was great, but the sound sucked a bit from where i stood (nearly no guitar) bomp roof was the best version i heared so far, with a long hawkwind-style space middle part with no drums and strange keysounds. very far out. good show with a lot of surprises.
btw: nice that you guys are able to recognize the setlist. thanks for this.
hmm, yes that is the point. no setlist to be found, and no reports from people who attended the show, so it is hard to say sth. about that video. watched it 2 times, and really liked the sound and everything, even it was a more improvised setting and a different drumset. it could have been hard for kenneth to play, as you see the stage shaking when he beats the bassdrum and hi hat. but the song is very tight and sounds good to my ear.
btw. really looking forward leipzig today, as mentioned thousand times before
Ja, thats me
We are 13 people coming from Dresden, I heared that Nils is on the way already, so it will be a big MP-meeting tomorrow. Cool. Bis morgen!!!
Hey Alex,
