Ahsol Caravan – nice fun project imho. A tribute to those many obscure and less obscure musicians on the edges of the Motorpsycho cosmos. Don’t forget: This band was named while in London for vinyl record hunting.
A little hint to reindeer antler virtuoso Trygve Seim (on Trust us) here in No. 5? Guess so. And the third eye awakening on the Kailash Journey in good old mystical Crimson tradition is called Prince Rupert ;-)
From what I hear on bandcamp I’d spontaneously say it sounds lots better than the original (first) white vinyl release. I was never really satisfied with the sound of that one.
Btw.: That Wiesbaden gig in 2019 obviously left its imprints in some motorpsychedelic minds. Remember “the Other Fool”‘s locally adapted finale: “Chill out to Xhol Caravan”?

cheersI’m a great fan of “House at Pooneil Corners” – in both JA and MP versions. Monster tune! Apocalyptic Flamenco! Would always like to have it back, though I think Bent might be reluctant to go back to the “screamo vocals” period. Did that for “Demon Box” though.
In the end better leave it to MP to surprise us once again with old tunes, new covers and new old interpretations.
As for Dark Star: Un Chien gets as close as motorpsychedically realistic – even with its average 23 min. length ;-)

I got a few 90s shows from DIME some years ago, hopefully still find them. Especially from the 98 tour, but a few earlier ones also. Probably start with those then. But don’t except miracles – one show a week will be the most I can deliver within my time schedule. And this weekend is already reserved for Freak Valley.

Btw.: Despite the amount of great stuff from 2025 available, I’m still waiting for some possible recordings to appear, especially Portogruaro and/or Bern, to get the complete live tracklist (Eagle’s Son, Blueberry Daydream). As in Italy they’re obviously more into celebrating than recording (happy people there…) this looks quite unlikely, but I put all my hopes in Francesco, who attended every show and had some recordings from the tour already posted.
