Huh? It's a very similar version to the Leipzig one but it can't be that night's recording…? Should be obvious since there it was the set's fourth song and here it's obviously the setstarter (unless it's cockily edited as such) and it starts out differently.
Ok I compared the versions now and erm… yeah…. seem to be one and the same. Gee I was hearing different things then due to the mixes. But then the beginning is edited, maybe originating from another gig?
Got my copy too and as intended, I managed to listen to it without knowing the setlist. It was hard not to peep into this topic before I got it, but even harder to sit still with the headphones on and NOT to look at the album backcover.
Bombproof, great version but after 2 listens I still think Leipzig was superior. The moog interplay (both of them I think…?) and Kenneths's outbursts and Snah soloing here is quite similar but somewhat in Leipzig there was a bit more juice in it…. But I might change my mind.
All Is Loneliness, one more evidence that the band is getting funkier through the years. Which is absolutely no bad thing.
Wishing Well, remember this from Winterthur last year but not as this grand. Beautiful. What they can squeeze out of "only" 2 chords is simply astonishing. Snah's solo ending with Ken's cymbals, so wonderfully effective.
Landslide, nice surprise.
Kill Devil Hills, I just loooooooooooove this song, and the brutal noise part is sheer heaven.
The Alchemyst, same for this one and back to backing these 2 songs is one of many strikes of genius.
Quote:That is why nowadays Motortrades hosts a private torrent tracker dedicated to Motorpsycho live recordings. Access to this tracker is only granted to members of the mailing list and every member receives the info how to be invited to the tracker upon subscribing to the list.I get it now. I didn't realize I was only half registered to motortrades all this time (didn't finish the process properly I guess) and just got confused. I received all the mail traffic but couldn't make anything out of it.
Woah Dawnband! Hope you make it to Zurich one day.
i've witnessed the ace live once. must have been with jacco because they never played that venue with kenneth since. along to a weird fighter jet plane movie, i think it even featured snah as pilot, at least, if not all of them.
ah lookie here, in Biel: http://motorpsycho.fix.no/dampsaba/search/?venue=&town=&year=&month=&day=&song=the+ace just before sheer heart attack. that was great.
you guys living close to Tivoli or Botanique, go see them! really! believe me you WILL love it!
Oh yes, there is some wicked drumming on there. Especially the fast songs like The Ace. I love his style. It's also quite interesting to hear bass & drums being played by the same brain.
many many thanks to Devotional! this soothes the pain of not having seen them on this tour. about your notes: how would anyone complain about this setlist? it's a killer!
(on a very shy sidenote…. if you ever find time and energy, would it be possible to upload kill devil hills and hallucifuge as one non-interrupted clip?)
wooo info overload. will read later but thanks.

oh thanks for the vids. missed them completely!
lovely!
is this the same troupe that got a mention here years ago….? they were all folksy ladies too but i thought they sang english back then….
Lobotomizer is crappy but more unique than Soothe though I prefer the latter. Problem is that it could be any record from any grunge band with the exception of the wonderful Lighthouse Girl, which felt like a blueprint for things to come.
But whatever you make before an album like Demon Box can't hold up against it.
all is bogusness.
I hope I can refrain from getting me any track info, then rush downstairs, to my mailbox, rush upstairs, put the headphones and the needle on, close my eyes and let the bubbles blow just like being at the show.
ordered both as usual. geez I'd even order the musicassette.
