to the devastated, there’s another Berlin show coming up in 2010 http://www.lido-berlin.de/events/view/549
Lido sold out but another Berlin show is confirmed for 2010: http://www.lido-berlin.de/events/view/549
so there is another very very nice tour coming up.
there surely will be a tour in 2010. and another album. MP back on track! :MPD:
@discogs list:
oh the Case Closed compo. I lost this CD… first time I heard MP ever.
@GBD, yeah something buzzes somewhere. All passed and gone due to too much respect or something… Look at those daring italians! 8O
About Berlin:
I MIGHT have one ticket left. My berlin friend probably won’t make it to the show. So if it’s sold out and/or you need a ticket, mail me wiper@gmx.ch But I can’t tell you for sure yet.

I’d like to see them in a bigger venue for a change. In switzerland, they always play the 300-500 ppls venues.
hi there.
sounds great. i’d go if i lived there.
btw… tribute… that rings something….
Apart from the coverversions, I can’t think of a lyrical or songtitle related Kiss reference. Odd. But there’s of course the Deuce 1-1-2-1 sideways headbanging tribute in the Sinful-Windborne video.
So I’d add Kiss – Alive!
Quote:The new album has Whole Lotta Diana – AC/DC – Whole Lotta Rosie?Since that guitarsolo after the flanged vocalpart is very Jimmy Pageyish, I’d rather go for Whole Lotta Love there.
nice set, nice clips. of course with the odd idiot shouting in Year Zero. i wonder if i ever get to hear Glow live.
i just realized that they probably won’t ever play the LLM suite again… i mean it’d take about 30min off a setlist. buried now. like the k9 suite. sad. i don’t mind the k9 but LLM…
ah lovely. i’m so looking forward to hear the new album live.
but only 70 people????? last time i witnessed that was in ’97 in geneva…
it wants to be liked. it’s the little cute ever happy neighbor’s boy, rabbit teeth & glasses. but it’s also one of those ballroom mccartneys giving me a hard time to listen to. like Obladidelida. Martha my Dear and When I’m 64.
Now I’m discovering the pre Revolver stuff. There’s wonderful popsong craftmanship before that one. The whole Help! album is perfect. Especially Hide Your love Away and Ticket to Ride. And then I Saw Her Standing There, Drive my Car, Norwegian Wood, If I Needed Someone, A Hard Day’s Night, Can’t Buy Me Love, Day Tripper, I Wanna Be Your Man, You Can’t Do That, Anytime At All, Things We said Today… shedloads of brilliance.
I’m not sooooo bedazzled by the whole Sgt Pepper and Revolver albums and there is some filler stuff on the White Album too. About half of each album amazes me. From this period I prefer the weirder songs on Yellow Submarine and Magical Mystery Tour such as Hey Bulldog, It’s All Too Much, Only A Northern Song, Blue Jay Way, Baby You’re A Rich Man and the probably best ever written song by humankind I Am The Walrus. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nnpil_pRUiw&feature=related
If they’d omitted Maxwell’s Silver Hammer, the Abbey Road album would be perfect.
I’m totally beatled right now. From watching documentaries to slamming away on that “beatles rockband” plastic guitar…
Sometimes I honestly do think MP is the greatest thing since deep freezed pizza but the Beatles… dang, those ideas in those times and the sustain of it all. Were they so way ahead of everyone or did (at least white) music simply stall in 1970?
In terms of sound and production it seems to me that the aim of every guitar fx pedal ever invented is to recreate something the Beatles did at some point in the studio, fiddling with amps and tapes and whatnot.
i wonder if the booking’s over…. will this be the whole tour? quite short…
