I was there! Insane gig, as Motorpsycho is the dream act for Trollkauk!. Absolute once in a lifetime kind of gig for me, my bandmates and friends, including the festival organizer who is a devoted psychonaut. I believe LLM is his all time favourite track by them. Bent said that it was Stian’s initiative to play it. Stian knew, I’m sure, because he is his old drum teacher
Powerful gig!
Highlights for me was the Alchemyst, Lady may (never cared much for the studio version, but this was something else) and Gullible’s! Almost every song had a great jam.
My least favourite moment tho was Gaia II, which had some awful AI generated retro scifi visuals going on i the background. I’m honestly shocked they would even consider using something so cheap and distasteful! Goes against everything they’re about, I’d say.
And Olaf is a grooving and stable drummer, but on songs like The Tower I think he leaves a lot to be desired. I’m so used to those wild fills from the record
Lot’s of newer tracks, and even if theyre not quite my cup of tea, they always deliver live, with jams and unexpected turns. Looking forward to the Oslo gig, and maybe even the one on saturday!
