I'm a bit ambivalent about Steven Wilson. On one hand, I do think he has written

some great songs throughout the years. On the other hand, he way too often plays a

type of prog-rock that doesn't appeal to me: Technically impressive, but not very

      emotionally resonant.

I love him as a producer, though. The albums he produced for Opeth + the whole remix/

remaster job he did for King Crimson was great.

Great news. This is the stuff they recorded with Deathprod in Oslo August last year.

            Excited to hear the results!

EDIT: Reine not mentioned in the hashtags in the Instagram post makes me think he is not featured on this album.

                  Hi

There is a private MP torrent site called Motortrades. Most of the stuff that's on Dime, can be

                  found there too: http://motortrades.org/index.php

Not sure if you need an invite to join.

This looks amazing. My favorite setlist of the tour so far, I think.

Really liked the versions of Blueberry Daydream and Starmelt/Lovelight by Blåbærtoppen Spelemannslag and Tusmørke.

I already had a Discord account, so joining the server was easy-peasy and it works.

However, I'm not sure if Discord really fits the kind of discussions we have here.

Instant chit-chat should work well, but when it comes to like setlists, new albums etc,

I think maybe Discord comes up a bit short.

However, I'm willing to give it a try. Should make some separate channels for various subjects.

My ticket cost approx. €140 – 150 (in stark contrast, MP Sentrum Scene cost approx. €35)

But I fully understand that artists need to make up for the 2 years of covid where their income was severely lowered. Besides, it was my first (and possibly last) possibility to see them live.

I also attended a Tool concert for the first time ever this week (Monday in Oslo)

I thought it was a really good gig. But I have to admit that Tool will never be my favorite band.

I mean they are all fantastic musicians, no doubt about it. But their songwriting can be pretty inconsistent at times. Too many generic riffs, a bit too much pointless noodling. It's a shame because when they hit, they hit with millimeter precision.

My favorite album is Ænima. Despite the numerous interludes and a couple of really lame songs, it has the best balance between short compact angry rockers and long psychedelic trips (mostly good)

Btw, the recording is great. They sound a little rusty in places, but

this will obviously improve throughout the tour.
