Ah cool. If you look to the left, there’s a sign that says listen to selected tracks here. And one of them is… I.C.U! And you can download it too, if you know a trick or two
Quote:I think this is the longest album ? (96:49 min), will certainly be longer live, 2 hours + …?It would have been kind of a bummer if they played 8 Soothing Songs for Rut or Barracuda…
I’m not so sure it will be that much longer live. CD1 doesn’t really allow THAT much room for jamming, so that one will probably be by the book. CD2 on the other hand might be stretched out a bit… Just under 2 hours live, maybe? But in a festival context, that is very long!
Well, they have 5 months to figure out if they need additional guests or whatever
My guess is that Snah will probably have more vocal duties than just On My Pillow. And he did sing Grindstone earlier (Roadwork 2 and the So What Oslo Bootleg DVD)
Anyway, good news to start off this week. And this Friday they’re starting their tour with Supersilent in Drammen!
I bought it today at Big Dipper in Oslo. They had a bunch of them left. Standard black vinyl.
Like I wrote, I’ve seen what I consider to be the best DB songs live quite a few times live. The exception being Mountain. Quite the majority of the songs on that list you wrote, I’m not exactly head over heels in love with. So sue me.
Of course everyone should make choices of their own. But there’s nothing in giving a tip or two, right?
Fuck yeah! If there is any justice at all in this fucked up world, then
Timmy will win by a landslide.
DB is actually the only album on that list that would disappoint me if it wins.
I’ve heard the best songs on it so often live (except Mountain) that I’d take any
of the other 90’s classics over it.
So please people, vote Timothy’s Monster!
The interview in its entirety now online here:

Funniest part being where his son was asked which album he thought should win the poll.
Demon Box was his answer

They listed the 5 albums with most votes in alphabetical order. No surprises at all that the 90’s classics are represented in full
I agree Be. The chance of hearing The Wheel—>Sungravy—>Grindstone—>The Golden Core is nothing short of spectacular!
Another interesting note: On the website it says that they’ll follow the vinyl tracklists. So if Demon Box is chosen, that means Mountain, Gutwrench and Mr.Who.
Or if AADAP = Have Spacesuit Will Travel, Back to Source and Ohm’s Concerto
I voted for TM, HMF and TU. No DB because I don’t think Bent has a chance in hell to do the screams in Feedtime, Sheer Profoundity or Gutwrench.
And oh yeah, I bought my Øya-ticket long ago
According to their website:
Motorpsycho: Norwegian legends look back on two decades of rock, improv and Russ Meyer!
The mag also comes with a CD of nothing but artists/bands on Rune Grammofon. MP is represented with Riding The Tiger.
Quote:That was my thoughts too. With Mattias Eick, Hanne Hukkelberg and KÃ¥re Westrheim on stage. Oh yeah! That does make sense too, because Eick, Hukkelberg and Vestrheim are all living in Oslo.
Oooh, exciting news!
I’m guessing they’ll headline either Oslo Live or Øya and play HMF in its entirety
Yeah, I felt kinda bummed out reading that too. Especially considering they have a 12 year old boy, too. Well, that’s a prize one has to pay for living that kind of life, I guess.
It must be easier for Bent & Cecilie, because she’s their manager and actually makes a living of MP.
Motorpsycho entered VG lista in Norway at both #1 spots: #1 spot on the Top 30 Norwegian albums and on the Top 40 All Albums. Congrats!
