A little visual evidence from yesterday’s show:

Another detail I noticed: During the mid-section of Greener they did start playing a portion of Flick Of The Wrist.

            That setlist looks pretty accurate.

Easily the second best MP gig I’ve ever seen (26-04-2002 is still the very best). And for once a great audience digging the long epics and the more unknown songs (and not screaming for the hits which were basicly absent tonight)

The way they’re playing nowadays, seeing one gig only just seems too scarce. I’m seriously considering taking the train to Gothenburg October 30th. I seriously envy you Europeans who have tickets to several gigs.

Highlight: When Snah tore a string during the climax/last verse of The Alchemyst, and he somehow came up with an alternative way of playing the lines without that fucking string. IMPRESSIVE! And well, a bunch of other highlights too many to mention here…

The only downer was that they only played 2hrs and 10 mins. I could’ve easily tolerated a few more songs

ah lovely. i’m so looking forward to hear the new album live.

but only 70 people????? last time i witnessed that was in ’97 in geneva…

Apparently, the gig was booked at short notice. And it wasn’t all that advertised. Besides, Hamar is a small town

When they played in America last year, they played for like 50 people in Columbus and Chicago.

Kenneth played synth on Feel and Bedroom Eyes? Sounds as if they did try to “Gebify” him a little

Anyway, sounds like a cool concert. I really like the idea of Year Zero being the opener (instead of drowning in the middle)

                    How was Cornucopia? Long?

How about a pre-gig beer for those of us going to Rockefeller the 14th?

I’m down for a pre-gig beer or 4! Møllers usually is the place to do so (close to Rockefeller, cheap beer and a heavy jukebox). Feel free to join.

He mentions Pussy Galore, Leon Russell and Van Der Graaf Generator (they’re listening to Man-Erg later in the clip).

I can’t really hear much of DB inside Lake Innersfree. Strange Days on the other side has a bunch of DB lyrics and slight musical resemblance.

The only things I hear inside LE that showed up in other songs later was the ascending riff that later popped up in 577 + a Bent bass riff in the quiet section that ended up in the studio version of Young Man Blues.

Capt.Aubrey: Out of the boots that has been uploaded on Dime, I was veeeeery surprised by the quality of the Copenhagen ’91 gig. IMO one of the best early MP boots. Even though it’s an audience recording, the sound is pretty good. And some nice song selections (features the only known live-recording of Lake Innersfree and early versions of Mountain and Have Fun)

                              So I’d recommend that one.

Yeah, cool stuff. I got a nice share ratio there (2.67), so I’m gonna download

                                whatever gets uploaded.

That Copenhagen 91 gig was pretty damn good, esspecially that Lake Innersfree song that they rarely played (contained elements of 577 and Young Man Blues)

No Danish dates have been confirmed yet for this autumn. They have visited Copenhagen both in 2006 (The Rock) and 2008 (Vega) though. So that’s the best possibility, I guess.
