I saw Møster! with Snah and Kenneth in Berlin. A very small gig for 60 people in an underground venue. Fantastic Jazz Rock between noisy and transcendent, very hypnotic. Snah was very concentrated, creating a carpet of noise behind looped sax, bubbling bass all the while Kenneth was drawing all registers from very delicate to all out Octopus-mode. They played 75 minutes without an encore. It was such a treat to get a show like that outside of Norway, just 8 minutes from my house. Wonderful!
Check out my pictures here.
What’s up in Hamburg that very week-end? No decent hotels below 170€ available, all across the city, even very far away.
Hell yeah! At the very least I can make two Friday and two Saturday shows in the usual haunts right on my doorstep (kinda). What a gift! And then some as cherry on top, let’s see. DK/SE likely at the start of the tour which would make Bremen the tour finale. Epic. Not sure everyone will get the toungue-in-cheek tour title but who cares ;-)
Love these sets, how they mix hits with odds & sods. This one looks great, I would have enjoyed it.
June 30, 2024 at 21:05 in reply to: 29.06.2024 – DE, Erfurt – Bandhaus Über Erfurt (Rock & Heavy) #43024What a summer night! Nice event, spectacularly located in a fortress above Erfurt. Decent crowd but venue could have held twice the amount of people. You could walk right up to the rail during the set or lie in the grass on the hillside with perfect sound and get high. What a setting, really! Bent, Snah and Ingvald delivered right from the start and the A-sides concept worked very well for me. So good to hear those songs and with the jamming later in the set they turned this into a proper MP show. Great version of “Go to California”, beautiful “Patterns” and the new song is really cool. I devoured a creamy soft ice while MP jammed out “Rock Bottom” in a cool way and the setting sun was blinding my eyes while I gazed out far into the distance overlooking Erfurt from our location atop a mountain. JUST EPIC. As good a summer ’24 moment as it will get. Later we got 14 fantastic minutes of “Mountain” and a super raw and dirty “Into The Sun” that totally brought the house down. Perfection! Afterwards Kadavar took the stage with authority and simply slayed, a band who has not reached their pinaccle yet, something that maybe cannot be said for our heroes from Trondheim……..

Appropriate festival set. Please help me out here: “Quick Fix”, what’s that? Also when and how was “Psychonaut” a single…?
From the socials:
Hey! This summer we’ll be presenting our ”dryhumpin’ for dollars” shows all over the place! We’ll strictly be playing a selection of our single a-sides this whole tour, and since there are more than 30 of the rascals to choose from, every single show will be different. We have never really focused on this side of our ouvre, so this is a new and interesting challenge for us: Why all the choruses? Why all the tricky vocal harmonies?? Why wasn’t that song a single??? Why weren’t all these stonkers bigger hits?!? So many questions, so many commercial failures … but so much fun! Come help us sing these tunes!
The Gothenburg date is a festival appearance: Viva Sounds. So who knows about the fall tour…Would not put my money on it, I think a spring ’25 tour is more likely…
Alright, I get it. Wasn’t so sure about that because “acoustic air pollution” rather sounded like a compliment — or a cool new genre ;-) Dyse are a fun band for sure and this billing is quite brilliant for this festival.
I take your comment on the Erfurt festival appearance as concern about the set-lenght, but it has to be said that this is an excellent line up. MP and Kadavar have a friendly relationship. I do believe that what we’ll lose in set-lenght we will gain in high spirits. Really looking forward to this regardless of set-length…
That is already quite a festival season! Quite a concerted effort in the domestic market. I wonder if additional international festival appearances will be announced…
Bent on maracas!? Thanks for the review. Really curious how you will like the magnificent Zwolle gig…
