@GBD, a lot of youtube live clips aren not that representative. Check out some of the MP youtube live vids…

I am going to Groningen tomorrow, i am still wondering if i should buy the Tio Bitar lp or not. Or wait till i find Ta Det Lugnt. Choices, choices. I will defenitely go and see them play when they play somewhere near.

If they are gonna play 400-500 people capacity clubs, well than they should play Vera, Groningen too. :-) I am considering a trip to Cologne though.

Wow,that groove.no review is really negative, even in the crappy google translation. I guess the reviewer didn’t quite get it.

Well thanks again GBD, it is always a thrill to get to know a good bands, and this sure is a great one. I really had to get used to the singing in swedish though. I don’t mind, but it is strange, listening to a band and not have a clue what the hell they are singing about. But, it has it’s charm. Anyway, i really want to see this band live one day.

They remind me of Comets on Fire in a way, especially their lp Avatar.

I am still waiting for some dutch dates….Vera please. The last Paradiso gig wasn’t sold out, so i’d say, go for a jam packed full Vera. Please.

hmm.. they are sticking to a LLM-based set yet again.. although I like LLC, it sometimes makes for a pretty one-sided set..

You Loose is also becoming the new You Lied IMO, I’m growing tired of seeing it in every setlist the last couple of years..

Although i like LLM & You Lose very much, i agree with your point. Their sets aren’t that adventureous these days. But hey, if the shows are good, the shows are good. This just isn’t the type of show one should witness if you have already seen them 20 times. I guess.

O, and i don’t mean this in a negative way at all. Just not too bummed out anymore that i am not able to go to these festival shows.

I would never want them to cut down their albums. Doubles and triples yes please. I can feed on them for years. Get to love songs I never thought I would at first. Just like Beyond the Flood recently. Some less flashy ones like Sancho Says or Sungravy grew on me over time. It’s a patience and devotion thing. Screw the use-once-and-erase ipod generation!

Well spoken. I love to really dive into the music, make time and listen to an album from start to finish. I love double albums, and i wouldn’t want any double album cut to a single album. Take Trust Us. A great body of work, a statement of art. I wouldn’t want to miss any of the songs, although some may not be a strong as the others.

                        from rune:

                        Motorpsycho vinyl only release

“Child Of The Future” has been delayed due to the special sleeve requirements. New release that is 7. August and we promise you it will be well worth the wait. We didn´t want anything less than extraordinary for this excellent album. More soon…

Although i am kinda bummed by the delay, this sounds very promising. Special sleeve requirements…….what will that be like?

Konkurrent, the Dutch distributor still has CotF listed for july the sixth (www.konkurrent.nl , scroll waaaay down)

I’ll wait for news from Stickman or Rune. The delay is a bummer.

Well, in the mail response i got a few weeks ago Jeanette said the will put any news about the new release on the Stickman site. So, we have to wait for some news from Stickman/Rune. But damn, i can hardly wait any longer.

This is a good topic, motivates me to grab some of the old records and play them. I just finished listening to It’s A Love Cult & the Serpentine EP, and i must say i loved it. Strange, when it came out i loved it a lot, then the records afterwards came and i didn’t play this one a lot, and now i sorta re-discovered it.

And yeah, BH/BC rocks. Fantastic record, i think that one will be the play of tomorrow.

Fantastic news. I hope they play some shows in the Netherlands again, preferably Groningen. I checked the sites of some venues they did shows before, but nothin yet…let’s wait. Good thing they don’t go for a festival tour, i prefer to see them at a club show. Always hungry for more Motorpsycho.

little edit: i hadn’t checked the link yet, but it is kinda funny that the site itself says 20th aniversary tour. What should we expect of that? Something special? Or is it something like ‘An Evening With Lou Reed’ which was just a two hour show (a great one but ok)
