My favourite is still Vol. 3 – shortly followed by the first Sabbath album and in fact Sabotage. As MP are obviously intensifying their MotorSabbath leanings, we should probably start another Sabbath thread?
Personally I'm quite happy MotorYes is over for the moment, although I miss MotorFloyd a little…
@Kid A: "I can listen to without getting headaches…"
Haha – good point! Btw. I like Herbie Hancock a lot – there's a true master!
These days I get my headaches from listening to contemporary Metal (which I avoid doing most of the times…) Probably I like MP as a kind of "Metal for people who don't listen to Metal". Just joking, of course.
Saw Kungens Män three years ago at Mani Neumeier's Finkenbach Festival near Heidelberg.
Made me dance in the mud at 2 am even though I was totally exhausted. Great Band!
Not so sure about Kamasi Washington though. Liked the first album quite a bit, but still I'm not convinced if the guy is really great or just another hype. Some people say it's Jazz for people who usually don't listen to Jazz – or Pop for Jazzers who usually don't listen to pop. Probably a good musician, but far from being a master or even genius.
I do prefer Kjetil Møster there…
Been a fan of anything Espers and splinter projects for quite a while. One of the later outings: Heron Oblivion – https://heronoblivion.bandcamp.com/
Still waiting for any recordings or clips to turn up. Alledgedly there was some taping?
And Bernie with several cams? Probably something special planned – anybody knows?
I do most urgently support the second coming of Radfreq! MP still has to deliver a live version that beats the Trust US RF.
Another song that's much better in its studio version is A.S.F.E. Not played live very much, but considering the lot of brilliant Tower material available this is probably no loss.
And: The Mirror & The Lie has been one of my favourite MP tracks of the Motorpop Experience. A few great live versions in 2002, but the studio track is unbeatable.
@ Punj Lizard: Patience is your friend here. Better wait until the last gaps in Motorpsycho's tour plan have been filled – then book. There's still losts of time – don't think any of the gigs will be sold out by the end of February 2019.
Both Bernie and Spacebandit: I declare you heroes of Motorpsychedelic documentation. Quite unnecessary, as you know who you are. But still: THANKS!!!!
@ Punj Lizard: There is still hope for another Köln gig in 2019. Motorpsycho played there on almost every major tour – unless they chose Düsseldorf, where they played in 2018. Furthermore the last two Köln gigs in 2016 ans 2017 were very well attended – so there should be no reasons for promoters opting out like the Berlin promoter alledgedly did.
I'm quite confident there will be some more gigs in Germany and probably another Dutch gig, let alone three or four Italian concerts and probably another Excursion to the dark Middle East of Europe. Let them see the Light!
Dreamhome could've gone on forever – just got into jamming along nicely on flute towards the end…
Given the dates published so far, I strongly assume there will be more German dates. At least I can't imagine they'll neglect the Cologne/Düsseldorf area totally – they never did on a major tour. My guess is there will be a few more dates in May, probably some Belgian/Dutch gigs, the sole London gig, one or two Southern German gigs before Wien (probably Munich), after Wien some Italian concerts and on returning after probably another Swiss gig (they benefited a lot this year, the Swiss!) and Reutlingen a few German gigs towards the end of the tour, probably Cologne, Bielefeld and Leipzig.
Would be great for me, as the gigs towards the end of the tour (and after the Italian trip) tend to be the best.
Hey Bernie, if you're posting Rockpalast as well, don't forget this one:
probably not the very best tv video quality, but still a great document of times long gone…
And another one from Cologne 2009:

Don't know what your policy with youtube videos is, but anyway – thanks for all your great efforts!
"No motor, no psycho, just a lot of jazzy noodle…"
Yep, it's called Grateful Dead tradition
And I love it…
I subscribe to this – thanks to all the tapers on the mini-tour. Especially to Spacebandit for his own stack effort, for gathering and uploading. But also to everybody who enabled us to follow that gem of a motorpsychedelic excursion. Some of the best gigs since The Tower has been released. Obviously this year the boys were much less under pressure to stuff as many new songs as possible into a gig. At the same time you can clearly hear that both band and song material evolved quite a bit in 2018. Lots of great jams and even a new pearl of a song. Looking forward to 2019!
