German online music mag Laut.de released a series of interviews with various musicians and concert organisers about the ongoing pandemic and its impact on them.
Bent was interviewed as well (given the same questions as everyone else) and you can read the original German result here but I translated it for you, as well:
LAUT.de: It looks like there wont be any concerts this year as well. Do you still have stamina for it all or are you contemplating a job change?
BENT: Its hard, but its still manageable. Our setup allowed us some public grants, so we arent in crisis mode yet. We decided early on to stay focused: after we completed the new record last summer, we just stayed in our practice room and continued writing and recording. We dont know what will happen with that, but it gives you a purpose and helps you not to go crazy.
LAUT.de: CTS Eventim contemplated the option to tie concert going to vaccinating. The German Ethics Council declined giving any privileges to vaccinated people. How do you stand on the topic?
BENT: I think vaccination certificates are reasonable, so I would not have any problem with such a regulation.
LAUT.de: Conspiracy theories are on an all-time high. Despite polls showing that a majority of the populace supports goverment measures, support for mandatory masks, vaccination efforts and hard lockdown rules are dwindling. Are opinions divided among your friends too?
BENT: Not really. We are so incredibly annoyed by all this Trump- and Alt right-bullshit already, that we reject any new conspiracy theories by default.
LAUT.de: What did you learn from this break in history*? Did you change as a person?
BENT: I dont know yet. But we all saw how fragile our modern civilization is. I also know now that I can live longer with my family in a small space than I thought. But then again, I didnt have a choice anyway.
* they used the word "Zäsur" here which is a bit hard to translate. It means break, but I think its not widely used in English, at least not in the same way.
Amazing to read you guys share your MP stories and music stories in general
I dont talk or write about music much anymore, I simply listen to what I like. But it is really nice to read stories that are similar or match my experiences, with Motorpsycho or any music that really sticks with you and touches you for a long time to come.
For me, I've known MP since around the Phanerothyme release and followed their output ever since. I've seen Motorpsycho live only a handful of times over the years but each time was special.
I have to admit that I don't know "Rock Bottom" but I don't recall a song being played inbetween those two. But I guess it's possible they've teased it or something like that. As you all know they weave riffs and songs seamlessly into others sometimes. I Don't remember an unfamiliar song though.

Aaout those limited and deluxe editions – thats something that annoyed me about Motorpsycho for a long time now. I love their music and I personally just wanna *hear* it. I dont think thats too much to ask – it doesnt have to come in fancy packaging (besides, apart from liner notes, nothing about their artwork was ever exciting to me anyway, I never liked Kims style), I dont care whether its vinyl, CD or download (Im no audiophile, I cant hear a difference – grats to all who can).
Songs dont get more special if a lot of potential listeners are shut out from hearing them. If you limit parts of your output from a greater audience, you gain absolutely nothing. You just lose people potentially enjoying your music.
All those editions cause is – like many pointed out – overpriced reselling and pissed off listeners, admirers and fans.
@otherdemon: thanks, but wikipedia has guidelines concerning how the articles have to be written, and if i write those liner notes, i'm sure someone will object to it and possibly just delete it.
(someone even tagged the "still life with eggplant" article for deletion since it was so bare (and i just didn't know what else to write).)

I took info found on motorpsycho.no news and from here – so it's a bit bare. But since I won't be getting this release (had no money to spare when the signup time window was open) I don't exactly have more access to info concerning liner notes etc.
I'm hoping for a regular CD (or whatever format) release eventually, since I personally don't care much for collectors items, I'm happy with just listening to music, but it's probably unlikely given Bent stated "no more, ever" (and "Child of the Future" hasn't been released on CD yet, either).

sounds like a great concert! i would have loved to see them too this tour, but alas, it wasn't to be. the last time i've seen them was in 2008 in vienna (i'm austrian, but vienna is still 4 hours away from here), and this tour the closest they played was northern italy or switzerland.
but anders, i remember you from copenhagen 2006 and some other dates after that too. i remember us both having the same green mp sportsjackets that were being sold on that tour.
ah, good times. copenhagen is a pretty neat city, hope to be there again someday. and also , of course, see mp again. from all i read here, they are better than ever and still getting better even.
Honestly, everything is worth listening too.
But I'd also recommend Heavy Metal Fruit, Angels and Daemons at Play given your preferences and then just in any order you like. Daniel has given a good overview (he did miss "Its a Love Cult", which is a 70s pop/rock album with some slow ballads and some nice short rockers as well as the Tussler albums, which are alternative country)Since you're on a budget, listen to them on Spotify first to check them out and then decide what you buy. Vinyls are usually very nicely done packaging-wise, but the CDs aren't bad either.
currently for me, i like listening to Monochrome (who used to be on Stickman), theyve released a new record recently, after 6 years or so of silence (I figured they disbanded already).

if you like Country, Bela B has just released a new record called "Bye" which reminds me of many country things. Its not rocky as the ITS, but its nevertheless a fine record mostly.

Laibach has recently released a new record called Spectre, and its more melody-laden then before and has EBM-influences.
The Notwist also has released a new record after some 6 years of absence. "Close to the Glass" does feature just a great batch of new songs, in their usual blend of rock and electronica.
running order is always a bit debatable. and since a band is very close to the material when they record it, they dont often make the best decisions about that. sometimes it needs a bit of distance — and sometimes its just very subjective. what flows well for one person wont flow well for another. i like the BtS tracklist tho, although i tried combining it with Eggplant because Hell 1-7 works nicely as a unit and could be the closing track in a combined album. hell, it could be an album in its own right, its 29:40 long.
