An update: After this year's spring tour in Norway/Spain/Finland, we can conclude that the song On A Plate which was played 3-4 times in 1991 has been resurrected with the alternate title Leslie's Vest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PxOrurYkCA
The song Neanderthal that they played this year will be on it, as quoted by Bent several times while introducing it live. But Leslie's Vest? I'm not sure.
Interesting article! Will be exciting to see what happens with Leslie's Vest and Neanderthal…
Cool that KÃ¥re Vestrheim is producing again. I like what he did with HMF
Yeah, audio was taped. But that hasn't surfaced yet, just the Youtube-vids.
It hasn't been mentioned, but I'll mention it anyway: They are recording in the same studio where they recorded HMF (Propeller Studio in Oslo). KÃ¥re Vestrheim and Mike Hartung are engineers/co-producers, I guess.
Yeah, I almost get the feeling that this is like an extended rehearsal. Awesome footage, thx a lot to the taper!
The only thing that annoyed me was Snah's guitar which is out of tune during Arnie H.
It will be separate gigs. Unless both bands expresses a wish to collaborate, in which case Kongsberg Jazzfestival would be happy to oblige.
Thx for the report. Satan most likely is the song "Cornucopia", it has appeared on other setlists as Satan. Or maybe something new?
So the Tampere setlist was this then?:
The Bombproof Roll & Beyond
Hogwash
Satan (probably Cornucopia)
Mountain
Neanderthal
Whole Lotta Diana
Starhammer
Hallucifuge
All Is Loneliness
Coalmine Pony/Happy Birthday/Neanderthal (live in Murcia)
A wooping 20 people in attendance @ yesterday's Tampere-gig. I guess this brings back flashbacks to the early 90's when the boys played for 5 people and a dog
Yes, it's confirmed they will be in studio with Trondheim Jazz Orchestra and Ståle Storløkken this month to record some stuff.
But they haven't started yet, because today and tomorrow they're playing Helsinki and Tampere!
Have fun tomorrow and the day after, Finnish psychonauts!
Nice recording! Thanks a lot!
Really cool version of Neanderthal, it had really changed quite a bit since Rockefeller!
Haha, that is actually an old April's Fool Joke
Don't remember which year it was from, though….
Agree with Seattle P-naut. Motorpsycho is such a diverse band that people are bound to get attracted to different aspects of their music. And because of their frequent stylistic changes, MP always attracts new fans while some bail out (in a revolving door-kinda way)
Me, I love the majority of it, too.
