Bonny Lee was on the BH/BC Bonus Disc…pretty much their first take on stoner rock, or at least their own specific kind of it. They also played it live around that time.
I really enjoy Mockingbird, which I heard first at the 2014 Turin show. I really like how light it is compisition-wise yet heavy regarding the sound. Has a Timothy's Monster Disc 1-feel for me.
In general, I really appreciate that they use the situation to make such stuff available.
Second that. Drums on 'Cuda by Geb, drums on BH/BC by Bent with the excetption of Jacco van Rooij drumming on "You lose"
Thanks a lot Bernie! I love it and everyone I showed it loves it as well.
Through past interviews and the posts of Bob LeBad, Bent's take on music and the band's MO was already rather well-known. However, it is always great to hear current thoughts.
The true highlight for me is, that I rarely (if never) seen Snah so extrovert and talkative about his perception of music. So great! Incredibly cool guy.
Also Tomas statement are really revealing. His professional musicianship highlights the unique chemistry going on between Bent and Snah.
Again, thanks a lot, Bernie! Absolut top-notch work of art! :MPD:
Yes, I also remember the first shows with Kenneth, him using huge Hi-hats looking like crash cymbals.
Have fun in Leipzig! First time since 2010 for me to skip that legendary venue. Certainly going to be special!
Great set and venue. Bit of a reference to the past… Mockingbird had its live premiere at the same place 5 years ago.
Wow, haven't been too amazed by prior setlists, but this looks like they eventually got the 'ol engine gaining momentum. :STG:

All the best!
A couple of weeks ago, there was an art festival at an old brewery in my hometown and, as the closing performance, I did a live score together with musicians from other bands for the french-czechoslovakian film "La Planète Sauvage" (also "Fantastic Planet" or "Der Wilde Planet"). It was a one-time, semi-improvised thing and it turned out pretty great. It was quite an exciting experience to make music as a supplement to visual style and content. Since the music didn't have to stand by itself, it was real big fun how much it allows you to play with dynamics.
Imagine a little Pink Floyd, Can, Ambient, a little MP groove here and there….feel free to give it a click! I would appreciate it. (seperated in 8 clips on youtube, the one below being my favorite)
Great album. Pretty much dad rock, but in a good way
Great to hear Bent's bass play in a poppier context. It's been a while.
Not a local, yet I attended the 2014 at Hiroshima mon amour/Torino and I must say that I replay liked the club. Rather small, approx 200-250 capacity, a nice stage and proper PA.
Phil Collins gained a little!
Very beautiful studio…some great bands recorded there.
Curious about the outcome.
BTW Jaga Jazzist also retreated to some remote studio in central Sweden for a new album. Looking just as cozy.
Wow! Favorite set so far, I would say.
Just rediscovered Coventry Boy… what a mellow gem! That tiny chord progression around the 1:25 mark is one of the most subtle moments of magic ever recorded.
Reine being useless??? :o
Oh, the blasphemy!!!
Anyway, thanks for the report. I was at said venue in 2014. No brilliant sound/atmosphere either, but a great set and show back then.
