i'm right behind tomcat then. :wink:
got tickets for both shows now. ah well, when in oslo for once… it's not as if there's anything else to do there, right?
also a superb geek category:
BEST OBVIOUS RIP oops ehm sorry INSPIRATION TAKEN FROM AN OTHER BAND'S SONG
Quote:Because B is LTEC leftovers?We only know this because it's been labeled so. And these songs are leftovers only because they didn't taste like cake not because they tasted bad and then got compilated to a proper album. But there's always a bunch of songs scratched from an album or not considered at all or dug out as an old pearl for a new album whatsoever. But this would make an endless discussion.
Quote:The reason why COTF is not "regular" is that it's just been released on vinylthat's plain silly but it's your poll.
ah Barracuda of course is a proper album, too. I wouldn't see why this one is not and say LTEC is. But anyway, my votes will be in soon.
btw why not a poll for BEST COVER (as in "other people's song") too?
@Captain Aubrey
high five!

what about Johnny finds the Leak? I'd be glad to have him on a boat.
kudos to your enthusiasm!
but I'd consider Child of the Future very much a proper normal album. It's their special 20th anniversary release and it's a full length album as a proper trio without any odd guest artists collaboration strangeness. Thou shall not discriminiate the vinyl! 8O
that would be le… wait for it….
Listening to Dog Parade from the Osnabrück gig last year. One guitar (or bass?) melody during the guitar solo ended up as one of those übercool bass lines during Mutiny's solo.
The album STILL gets better with every spin. I'm sooo curious what it will sound like on tour without the orchestra.

i got mine from a nice fellow here by fair trading.
@captain
yes it's that one but i don't want to sell it. Only trade the blue one bottom left.
oh here, i already photobucketed it once:

the bottom left one. blue with white arms that are woven within it so it looks like you're wearing a blue tee over a white long sleeve. intriguing, eh?
On the back it's featureless plain blue.
And one more note about the size: All the other shirts on the pic I can easily wear. So you see, the blue one isn't exceptionally small, just that mean little tad. That's why I think it would pass as a slightly smaller medium, though it's labeled as "small".
interested in trading? I have a very nice long sleeve shirt in "small". I think it goes as a small medium actually, it's not a girlie or kiddie size. But I never wore it because it IS too small for me, which is sad because it's veeeery nice. I will add pics later.
oh i'd be interested in the LLM shirt.
No Evil I think was played live very often during that time, contrary to other BHBC songs, so the band must have loved it. It's not one of my faves on the album but it's still a song I'd be happy to manage to write myself.
The first one I heard off it was In Our Tree on a Visions (german print mag) Sampler CD and I was a bit underwhelmed. I felt it didn't match the energy of other songs on that CD, although I didn't really like any of those bands. But within BHBC it shone immediately. Now I love its arrangement and especially the chorus. Double album, 17 carefully crafted songs. I think Bent and Snah worked to their strengths on it and wanted to prove something. Maybe their alarmed state of mind was also the reason why it has more fast songs than any other MP release. Reminds me of Zeppelin's Presence, which was made in a very fragile state, too and I love its atmosphere.
Mr nelson, I do respect your critique and find it actually quite entertaining how you put it.
I hope you'll change yr mind one day about the Unicorn. As stated by the band, this one isn't classic Motorpsycho but a collaboration and therefore we can't really say anything about the band's current way, be it lost, weird, stubborn or genius. The next proper release might win you (and others) back.
On a sidenote: What's the problem with BHBC? So many people have troubles with that one. To me it's no different to other typical MP rock albums and has almost only brilliant standout songs. And come on! Bent is an amazing drummer! If that had been a new guy, they really should have kept him as a substitute for the Geb (being unaware of Kenneth at that point in time).
