I second that emotion of Tomcat about Schlachthof. It's just the best indoor venue I know.
For me fortunately it was more than a solid gig. I told my psychonaut friend before that I was hoping for LLM or STG…(my first STG in my 12th gig) All in all a very songy show, not a space out. But the guys were playing very tight (Diana, wow!) and I definitely had some big lucid moments. Bent's goodbye words: "Wir sehen uns." Bis September, ich freu mich drauf!
Fantastic gig. It was stunning, how good Magpie worked live. Tower had a beautiful psychedelic jam while the second part of Sonata was quite energetic. Mountain-Starhammer was special too and I was happy with an emotional and well-sung Greener. I was surely not expecting to get NOXED after all that, which is some kind of experience. The acoustic encores were beautiful and the audience had a good cheer when Snah evoked a screaming feedback stumbling onto a pedal while playing the acoustic. All in all a superb evening with happy audience and band!
For me, that must be K9 from Bremen, 10/22/2017
So psychedelic!
I like Hyena so much and am eagerly waiting and hoping for it to come back to the setlists so I can experience it live at last!
Concerning Vanden Bossche's theories, especially when you yourself referring to Dr Yeadon, I hope that this can soothe you and reduce your worries:
October 21, 2019 at 15:48 in reply to: Roadwork VI – or "what blew our minds on Crucible II"? #36320I could only attend Bremen in the second leg. I liked Whip That Ghost a lot, highlight was without any doubt Fools Gold. Sadly, I didn't have a Starhamster.
I was in Hamburg in spring, so I had two Ãœberpilgrims this year and that was another highlight of the whole tour for me.
@Flippern: B2C is on RW I
What a long strange …uhm… setlist
(little jazzy thing? …what might that be? Light Fantastic?)
(Was it Les Rotondes or Den Atelier?)
@The Other Anders: " difficult to stay focused on work". That's the one I forgot. Thanks for pointing that out.
No, no, please! Don't dissolve, don't disappear in smoke, no! I'd give the boys any break they need, if they only keep on keepin' on!
(were they just speed riffing yesterday or even a bit hectic?)
No show tonight and I find myself again addicted to checking setlists. The last few days pervated by the impressions of the last show I visited, craving for having another, listening to recent live recording (shout outs to Spacebandit!), becoming impatient about the next tour and album…It's MP-tourtime again!
Yes, @Kid A, Hardrock woz a laifschteil last night!
To be honest, I was happy that Crucible was not as loud as in Hamburg…my highlights: first Song for a bro for me, that also works without keys (Allman-style, true, @Spacebandit, and thanks for taping again, looking forward to it), also first Manmower for me (!), No Evil (@pitje 007: hatten wir schon 2017 in HH!) and especially Fools Gold, i was flooded with endorphins…
All in all I think audience and band had a lot of fun inspite of a few minor technical problems. And yes @Tomcat, it's really such a beautiful venue!
I like that setlist. Thanks for posting.
I have only been to Hamburg with my highlights Ãœberpilgrim (great Pilgrim cover!) and B2C (my first one, very energetic). And I love the chillout suggestions from The Other Fool, great idea!
What a beautiful way to express it!
Exactly what Paolino wrote!
